The Pet Care Team in Naugatuck for dog walking and cat drop in visits

Susan's Pampered Pet Care, LLC was established on 5/14/2022.

Shawn and I (Susan) met on 02/02/2012 and at that time I had a beautiful black cat named Mamacita. She was rescued from a friend in an abandoned apartment building with her kittens. Mama had some health issues, and I quickly had to learn how to care for her and do things like administer fluids under her skin with a needle. That's when my passion for pet care began.

On 02/09/2014 Molly rescued Shawn and I. She was just 4 months old and what an absolute beauty from the start! We were told Molly didn't really know her name because they name all the puppies when they rescue them but we decided that name was a good fit for her and decided to add her middle name Mae. Molly Mae came from a high kill shelter in Arkansas.

When we met Molly, it was love at first sight. She was so quiet and reserved that we would say she's like a cat (very similar to Mamacita)! Molly has little bursts of energy but has always been very laid back. The most difficult thing Shawn and I had with Molly was potty training but together as a team with lots of consistency, we finally got it down pat! Molly is the best addition we ever could have asked for to grow our family.

Shawn and I worked long hours and had decided we needed a dog walker or someone to drop in on her in the weekday afternoons. That worked out very well for us and Molly seemed much happier that she wasn't by herself for the entire work day anymore.

Things changed in the world in 2020 and I was laid off from my office job of almost 16 years. Immediately I had a vision about not having to leave Molly for a typical office job any more and wondered what if I could actually work with her and not need pet care for her on a daily basis? That weekend I took an online American Red Cross First Aid certification for cats and dogs. Shawn was on board and encouraged my vision to integrate a love of animals into a full time business!

I started getting approved with pet care apps and slowly started to build my clientele in May of 2020. It has been an amazing journey so far for Shawn, Molly and I. We look forward to caring for your pet and welcoming him or her to our family.
