Meet Mylah Angelica, Formerly “Angel”
From Foster to Forever
On May 14, 2025, we brought home a foster kitty named Angel, never imagining how quickly she would change our lives. What began as a temporary foster situation soon turned into a forever love story — and on June 7, Angel officially became ours. That day, we joyfully adopted her and gave her the name Mylah Angelica, a name as special as she is.

Her Journey
Mylah’s story is one of strength and resilience. She was found living on the streets about a year earlier with her kittens, having already endured more than any young cat should. Despite her rough start, she has blossomed into a gentle cat with a sweet soul.
We can’t help but celebrate just how far she’s come, but it wasn't an easy transition. In her first weeks with us, Mylah hid constantly and was afraid of every little noise. Because we are a Fear Free Certified pet care business, Susan was able to understand Mylah's cat fears and anxieties. Her Fear Free Certification was key in allowing her to work with scared cat Mylah just as she works with all of her pet care client's pets to ease their fear and allow them to feel safe in her care.
We are pleased with Mylah's growth, her courage, and all the milestones she’s reached since becoming part of our family. Even so, we continue to face challenges as she encounters experiences that are new to her, such as when the weather shifted to winter and the heat in our house was turned on. We can't express enough how important and useful being Fear Free Certified is in situations like this as it can make all the difference between a scared pet and one who is able to overcome fears.
Settling Into Her Forever Home
Mylah is a laid-back, calm, and affectionate kitty who thrives in a peaceful environment. She can be shy and reserved with new people, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines through.
One of the most heartwarming parts of her journey has been her bond with our senior dog, Molly. At 10 years apart in age, Molly has taken on the role of big sister to Mylah and has become quite the "kitty whisperer" in recent years. From the beginning, Molly’s calm and patient nature helped Mylah feel secure. They got along almost immediately, and within just three weeks, they were greeting each other face to face — no running away, just trust. Mylah knows she is protected here, and it shows.
Mylah's Personality
• Loves her cozy “hidey holes”, beds, and condos
• A huge fan of chin scratches and brushing
• Extremely food motivated (and the biggest beggar ever)
• Super chatty and expressive
• Laid-back and chill — sometimes even a little lazy
• Loyal to her family and her dog sister Molly (but no one else!)
Recently, Mylah reached a huge milestone: she’s finally comfortable enough to play with toys and do zoomies — something she didn’t get to enjoy when she was younger. Watching her discover joy now is incredibly special, and we’re so thankful she gets to live the good life she always deserved.

A Foster Fail We are Thankful For
Mylah is our beloved foster fail, and we couldn’t be more grateful. She brings peace, love, and calm into our home — just as she was searching for in her forever family.
Thank you, Mylah, for trusting us, for growing with us, and for being part of our family. We love you endlessly.
