Susan’s Pampered Pet Care – May 2026 Anniversary Blog

This May marks a very special milestone for us at Susan’s Pampered Pet Care: four years in business. What started as a passion for animals and a simple idea—to provide reliable, loving care for pets in their own homes—has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined.
From daily dog walks to dependable cat sitting visits and everything in between, every service we offer is built around one core belief: your pets are family, and they deserve to be treated that way. For four years now, that’s exactly what we’ve set out to do.
Where It All Began

When Susan’s Pampered Pet Care first opened its doors in 2022, the goal was simple—offer trustworthy, professional pet care that pet parents could truly rely on. Over time, that mission expanded into a personalized service experience supporting dogs, cats, and other beloved companions with attentive, knowledgeable care.
Our dog walking services were designed to keep pups active, happy, and on a consistent routine, while our in-home cat sitting visits ensured that feline friends could stay comfortable in their familiar surroundings—stress-free and cared for while their humans were away.
Every walk, every visit, and every update sent to a client has always been rooted in one thing: genuine love for animals.
A Year That Tested Everything
As we celebrate this anniversary, we also want to be honest about something:
this past year was not easy.

Like many small businesses, we faced unexpected challenges—saying goodbye to longtime clients as families moved away or lost cherished pets, all while navigating an uncertain economy and rising costs, all of which made continuing forward feel uncertain at times. There were moments when closing the business felt like a very real possibility.
Behind the scenes, it meant long days, difficult decisions, and pushing through even when things felt overwhelming.
But giving up was never truly an option.
Because this business isn’t just a job—it’s built on relationships. It’s the excited wag of a tail when we arrive for a walk. It’s the quiet comfort of a cat who stays relaxed in their own home while their family is away. It’s the trust you place in us every single day.

In addition, in the middle of this challenging year, we were also reminded personally of just how meaningful those relationships can be. One year ago, we unexpectedly brought home our dear kitty, Mylah. What started as an unplanned addition quickly became a source of comfort, joy, and love during a time when we truly needed it most. She became another reminder of why caring for animals will always be at the heart of everything we do. 🐾💛
Choosing to Keep Going
Instead of closing the doors, Susan made a choice: to keep showing up, to keep working hard, and to keep fighting for the business and the community that had been built.

That meant rebuilding, refocusing, and leaning into what matters most—providing exceptional, personalized care for every pet.
It meant early mornings, late nights, and persevering through one of the hardest years yet—facing financial strain and uncertainty, even when the business wasn’t bringing in a full-time income—all while remaining deeply committed to every client who stood by us.
And because of that perseverance, we’re still here.
Stronger. More grateful. And more dedicated than ever.
Thank You for 4 Incredible Years

To every client who has trusted us with their pets…To every dog we’ve walked and every cat we’ve cared for…To everyone who has recommended, supported, or cheered us on…
Thank you.
You are a big part of the reason we’ve made it to four years.
Looking Ahead
As we move into year five, our mission remains the same:

Reliable, professional dog walking
Compassionate, stress-free cat sitting
Care you can trust, every single time
We’re excited for what’s ahead and incredibly grateful to still be doing what we love—caring for your pets as if they were our own.
Here’s to four years… and many more to come. 🐾💛
